As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, millennials everywhere are gearing up to celebrate their favorite season: autumn. It's not just about pumpkin spice lattes and vibrant leaves; it’s a time for connection, nostalgia, and unwinding after a long summer. So, how can you kick off the fall season early and make the most of its charm? Here are a few ideas to get you started!

First things first, why not host a cozy movie night with friends? Dust off those classic fall films (ahem... is it too early for Hocus Pocus!? The answer is no... it's never too early), grab some warm blankets, and whip up some homemade popcorn. Set the mood with some string lights and invite everyone to come in their coziest sweaters. If you’re feeling creative, consider a DIY apple cider bar—just set out the ingredients and let everyone craft their perfect cup. Another way to celebrate early is by exploring local farmers' markets. Autumn is a treasure trove of seasonal produce, from apples to squashes. Best of all, mums are about to be out in full force so grab a few at your local greenhouse or garden center and enjoy some casual gardening -- when the weather cools down a bit.

Finally, don’t forget to take a moment for yourself. With the holidays just around the corner, now is the perfect time to pause and appreciate the little things. So grab your favorite warm drink, find a cozy corner, and let the autumn magic begin!

Here are a few more ideas -- some excellent fall traditions as reported by all the fall-loving peeps in my life:

  1. Pull out the Folklore & Evermore albums... and listen to "All Too Well TV" (10 Minute Version) on repeat... obviously

  2. Begin a nostalgic TV marathon - Gilmore Girls or Buffy The Vampire Slayer are excellent contenders

  3. Fall crafting session - make a wreath, paint a pumpkin, get started on some early Halloween DIYs... you get the idea!

  4. Baking. Fall is for baking (and cooking!) Pumpkin muffins. Chili. Cornbread. Butternut squash soup.

  5. Start a fantasy football league with all your buds. It's got everything - fall, sports, competition and bragging rights.
